Play opens up the possibility of other worlds. In Imagined Nature, I construct landscapes that emerge from my sensitive relationship with the natural world and are transformed through imagination, gesture, and colour. Forests, clouds, and organic forms appear and dissolve in compositions where the recognisable coexists with the unexpected.
The monotype, with its experimental and inherently unique nature, becomes a space of artistic freedom. It allows me to combine forms, embrace chance occurrences, and discover images that I had never anticipated. Here, I do not depict nature as a fixed reality, but rather as an experience that is continually reinvented through the act of creation.
Each work proposes a possible territory, an inner landscape where observation and fantasy intertwine. My images invite viewers to pause, to look, and to surrender to the forms that emerge, without the need to recognise or name them.
Do we paint the nature we see, or the nature that our imagination makes possible?
